- For virgin aplication & relaxation: Apply protective coating of petroleum jelly to hairline, nape and skin area. Using a rubber comb, gently part hair into four equal sections. Set a timer for the appropriate time from the maximum timing guide. Wearing protective gloves, using thin partings, apply relaxer at nape of one rear section 1/8" from scalp. Do not apply directly to scalp. Continue to crown. Repeat in 2nd rear section. Apply at front section, working from the temple area to center part. Repeat on other side. Begin smoothing the section where relaxer was first applied, again using thin partings. Continue smoothing the four sections in the order the relaxer was applied. Use downward strokes. Smooth hairline last, using upward strokes.
- When thedesired degree of relaxation has been obtained, rinse hair thoroughly with warm water, in the same order relaxer was applied, until hair is free of all traces of the relaxer creme. Specifically check hairline and back of ears.
- After thoroughly rinsing relaxer creme fromhair with warm water, apply a generous amount of TCB Conditioner&Blow Dry Lotion to hair. Leave on 3-5minutes. Rinse with warm water.
- Neutralize: Keep hair in straight form. Do not manipulate the hair during shampooing. Use Bone Strait Neutralizing shampoo. Apply a generous amount of shampoo and lather well. Rinse with warm water. Repeat the shampoo and rinse step. |
